Elon Musk warns: China is on the verge of a demographic catastrophe

Elon Musk, curator of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the USA, expressed serious concern about the demographic situation in China.
"Demographic collapse is China's biggest problem in the long term. This applies to virtually every country on Earth," Musk stated in his message on the social network X.
This is not the first time the billionaire has raised the issue of demographic crisis. Previously, he had already expressed concern about low birth rates in Europe. According to Musk, demographic problems could lead to the disappearance of entire nations, with the cultures of countries such as Italy, France, and Japan being at risk.
Musk's concerns are confirmed by official statistics. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, China's population continues to decline. In 2024, it decreased by 1.39 million people and amounted to 1.40828 billion citizens. The alarming trend began in 2022, when for the first time in 60 years a population decline of 850,000 people was recorded. In 2023, the situation worsened - the figure decreased by another 2.08 million people.
